Welcome.
Thank you for visiting.
This website has many free resources to help groups make good decisions. Maybe you're here for a quick look but we hope you will "click around."
Mostly we run professional, highly efficient meetings for groups of people making important decisions.
We plan tailor-made agendas, use state-of-the-art tools and techniques, maximize collaboration, and achieve valuable results.
For most of the meetings we facilitate, we also prepare high quality Meeting Reports.
We also do training, team building, strategic planning, mediation, organizational development, and research and report preparation - all things that help groups make good decisions.
Good Group Decisions is owned by Craig Freshley.
Our work is based on the simple premise that "We all have a piece of the truth and we make our best decisions when we put our pieces together." Craig learned this from Caroline Estes in 1994. Another way to say it is that "None of us is smarter than all of us."
Good Group Decision meetings are highly participatory and interactive, yet also highly efficient and fast paced. Another hallmark is that concepts, themes, and decisions are written on the wall, on the spot, for all to see.
Craig believes that these times require more collaborative decision making. It is imperative for the Earth, for sustainable organizations and for sound public policy.
Driven by his passion for highly efficient meetings and collaborative decision making, Craig Freshley started Good Group Decisions in January, 2003. Previously, Craig had many years of experience in public policy development
mostly with Maine state government agencies and statewide non-profits.
Amy Scott has been working with Good Group Decisions since 2004. Anne Holland has been with Good Group Decisions since 2006. Chris McCabe joined in early 2008. John Newlin and Kerri Sands recently joined as Associates. Depending on the project, we draw on a network of highly qualified associates to help with the work.
In 2005, this website won the "best of show" award from the International Consultant's Association for the best consultant website. We hope you find it useful. If you like this website, please link to it and tell others about it.
